The Chairman of the Industrial Safety Committee of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Kazakhstan visited the office of AG TECH

The Chairman of the Industrial Safety Committee of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Kazakhstan Yelukhan Adilkhanovich Baimuldinov visited the office of AG TECH.

During the meeting, acute issues were raised to ensure safety at mining enterprises, namely the positioning of personnel and equipment in mines.

Our team demonstrated the capabilities of the flagship product - the DMMS production management system, which meets all the criteria for industrial safety.

We shared our experience in implementing our system at the objects of Kazakhmys Corporation LLP and KAZZINC LLP.

The Chairman of the Industrial Safety Committee of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Kazakhstan visited the office of AG TECH
This meeting was held within the framework of the initiative put forward by AG TECH to amend the legislation related to ensuring the reduction of injuries and the prevention of accidents in the mining industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Based on the results of the study of world standards and international experience, including the EAEU countries, in the field of industrial safety, a number of solutions were proposed for the implementation of a set of systems and tools ensuring the organization and implementation of safety at mining operations.

Draft additions to the "Rules for Ensuring Industrial Safety for Hazardous Production Objects Conducting Mining and Geological Exploration" and "Rules for Ensuring Industrial Safety for Hazardous Production Objects of Coal Mines" have also been developed.

The main directions of modernization of mines and the mining process in terms of improving safety, including the introduction of amendments to safety rules related to: aerogas control systems, geo- and gas-dynamic monitoring, emergency notification and positioning of personnel, deployment of emergency rescue chambers for personnel in underground mine workings.

The most dangerous and common phenomena occurring in mines include rock burst, sudden emissions of carbon mass and gas. Emissions are rapidly occurring destruction of the bottomhole part of a gas-bearing coal or rock massif under the influence of rock pressure and gas pressure.

The necessity to introduce systems for the prediction and prevention of these hazards arising in the process of mining operations is confirmed by the fact that sudden emissions of carbon mass, gas, as well as loose of rock burst have occurred over the last 40 years, in almost all fields of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the CIS.

The practice of mining operations shows that an increase in the rate of penetration and an increase in loads on the rock mass via the use of modern high-performance mining equipment enhances the scale and nature of the display of geomechanical and gas-dynamic processes occurring in the rock mass in the work area. This, in turn, increases the risk of the phenomenon of rock burst.

In addition, modern mines are complex technological constructions with an extensive infrastructure of communication lines and control systems. However, in the event of an emergency, when wire communications are broken, it is impossible for underground personnel to set communication with the surface. As part of the concept of digital transformation, which is gaining more and more popularity in the mining industry, interstate working groups are being created everywhere with initiative participation of corporate market players, in order to work out the depth and sufficiency of automation standards to ensure, with their help, first of all, safety, as well as the efficiency of mining operations, with the obligatory consideration of the environmental component of mining production.
