AG TECH and UMV Inc. signed a memorandum of cooperation

AG TECH and South Korean company UMV Inc. have signed a Memorandum of Strategic Cooperation aimed at expanding the cybersecurity market in Central Asia.

The signing took place at the AG TECH office during an official meeting between the delegations of the two companies and marked an important step toward strengthening Kazakhstan’s technological sovereignty in the field of digital infrastructure protection.

The Memorandum was signed by Alexander Podvalov, CEO of AG TECH, and Bang Yoon Sung, CEO of UMV Inc.


UMV Inc. is a South Korean technology company specializing in web and cybersecurity solutions for protecting web servers and cloud environments. UMV Inc.’s products secure more than 30,000 web servers worldwide.

The key objective of the partnership is the localization and development of advanced web infrastructure protection technologies in Kazakhstan and Central Asia, the creation of a domestic software product that meets the requirements of both the public and corporate sectors, and the strengthening of the country’s technological sovereignty.

As part of the meeting, AG TECH employees - DevOps Engineer Ilyas Tamaev and Systems Engineer Aibek Mukushev — who completed specialized hands-on training under the guidance of the UMV team, received personalized certificates presented by UMV Inc. CEO Bang Yoon Sung.

The launch of sales of the localized solutions in the Kazakhstan market is planned following the completion of certification and licensing procedures.
